01

thirty seconds of setup

Before you press start

Most privacy slips happen before anyone says a word. A letter on the desk, a uniform on the chair, a window that shows a recognizable street: the camera picks up more than you think. If you are about to choose video, glance at your own preview first and move anything that identifies you out of frame.

Pick a nickname you use only on CamDiv, not your Instagram handle or your gaming tag. Prefer a gentler start? Try voice chat or text, where your room stays out of view.

  • Look at your camera preview and clear away mail, ID cards and badges
  • Use a nickname that does not link to your other accounts
  • Wear headphones in shared spaces so housemates are not part of the call

02

friendly, not an open book

While you are chatting

Be as warm and curious as you like, and as private as you need to be. Your country is already on your match card; you do not need to add your city, your street, your school or your employer. If a conversation is great, it will still be great without those details.

Watch for the moment a chat changes direction. A stranger who suddenly wants your other socials, a phone number or a photo is asking for something you can say no to. Saying no and tapping next is never rude on CamDiv; it is the system working as designed.

  • Share first names at most, never surnames or addresses
  • Do not show identity documents or bank cards, even as a joke
  • Refuse requests for intimate photos or to undress on camera
  • Leave if someone pressures you to move to another app quickly

03

the one with no exceptions

The money rule

Nobody genuine you meet in a random chat needs your money. The stories can be convincing: a sick relative, a stuck flight, a phone that needs credit, a once-in-a-lifetime investment. They are designed to be. Block and report anyone who asks for cash, gift cards, crypto or your card details, however small the sum.

The same goes for links and files sent by a stranger. Do not click them, do not download them, and do not log in anywhere because someone in a chat told you to.

04

use the tools, then let it go

After a chat that felt wrong

If someone was rude, explicit or threatening, use the report option and block them. Reports help moderators remove accounts that break the rules, and blocking means you will not be paired with them again. You do not need to write a long explanation; a short report is enough.

Threats to publish a recording of you deserve no payment and no bargaining. Keep screenshots of the messages, block the account, report it, and email the team through the contact page. Paying almost never ends it, and you are not the one who did something wrong.

05

small settings, big difference

Your device and your data

Camera and microphone stay off limits to CamDiv until you approve the browser’s request. You can revoke that permission at any time in the browser settings, and text chat never uses either device. Keeping your browser updated closes security holes that have nothing to do with chat but everything to do with staying safe online.

If you sign in, choose a password you do not use anywhere else. The privacy policy explains what CamDiv stores and how erasure requests work, and the is CamDiv safe page explains what the site does on its side.

Quick reminderYou can leave any CamDiv chat at any second. Next, block and report are always there, and using them is never a failure.

Questions people ask

Safety habits, answered

Q.01

How do I stay safe on CamDiv?

Keep personal details private, check what your camera shows, never send money, and use next, block and report whenever something feels off.

Q.02

Someone says they will post a recording of me. What now?

Do not pay. Save screenshots, block and report the account, and email support. Paying rarely stops it, and the person threatening you is the one breaking the rules.

Q.03

Is it okay to give my Instagram to someone on CamDiv?

Wait until you have talked several times and feel sure. Social accounts often reveal your real name, friends and location.

Q.04

Should I use voice or text instead of video for privacy?

If you are cautious, yes. Voice and text keep your face and room private, and you can move to video on a later match when you feel comfortable.

Q.05

Can I turn off camera access for CamDiv?

Yes. Camera and microphone permissions are controlled by your browser, and you can revoke them in its site settings at any time.

Q.06

What counts as a red flag in a random chat?

Requests for money, photos or personal details, pressure to move to another app, links to click, and anger when you say no.

Q.07

Will the person know if I report them?

Reports are not announced to the person. Block them as well, and they will not be matched with you again.

Q.08

Is it safe to use CamDiv on public Wi-Fi?

It works, but be mindful of who can see or hear you in public places, and avoid signing in to other accounts on shared or public devices.
