What is CamDiv video chat?
CamDiv video chat pairs your camera with one stranger’s camera at random. You see each other, talk as long as you both like, and either of you can tap next to move on.

CamDiv video chat · one-to-one
CamDiv video chat puts a single real person on camera with you. Say hi, see where it goes, and tap next the moment it stops being fun.

01
faces settle things fast
Most of what makes a conversation work never shows up in text: the half smile before a joke, the pause while somebody thinks, the way a person lights up when you ask about their dog. CamDiv video chat is built for people who would rather find that out in the first ten seconds than after twenty typed messages.
Choose video on the start screen and press start. Your browser asks for camera and microphone the first time, and once you say yes a single stranger appears opposite you. There is no lobby to wander, no queue of thumbnails to judge and no audience. The room holds two people and closes the moment either of you leaves.
02
enough to open, not enough to find anyone
Every CamDiv match comes with a small card along the top of the call. It carries a nickname, an age, a country and the language the person speaks. That is usually all you need for a better opener than hey: ask what time it is in Caracas, or whether people in Manila are as obsessed with basketball as everyone says.
Your own card shows the same kinds of details and nothing more. Pick a nickname you use only here, and keep your full name, your employer and your social handles out of the first conversation. The CamDiv safety page explains which details are worth holding back and why.
03
leaving is part of the deal
Random video chat only works if leaving is easy. Somebody is not in the mood, the connection stutters, the two of you have nothing in common: tap next and CamDiv brings in a new stranger. Nobody gets a notification explaining why, and nobody is owed one.
The flip side is worth remembering. If a call is going well, it is fine to say so and stay. Some of the best chats on CamDiv start awkwardly and only get good around minute three, once both people stop performing and start talking.
04
two quieter ways in
Video is one of three doors, not the only one. If you want to hear a real voice while your camera stays dark, pick CamDiv voice chat before your next match. If you would rather type and read, CamDiv text chat keeps both the camera and the microphone off, and adds a translate button to every message.
The mode is chosen before each match rather than switched halfway through, so it helps to decide what kind of evening you are having. Plenty of people start on text, warm up, and then go back to the start screen and choose video once they feel like being seen.
05
accounts are optional, but useful
Guests can open a CamDiv video chat straight away; no registration screen blocks match one. Should you click with someone and want a second conversation, though, signing in is what makes that possible: accounts can follow people, send messages and keep a coin balance and settings across devices.
From someone’s profile or the online list you can also request a private call for just the two of you instead of waiting for random matching to bring you together. Those calls work the same way as a random video chat, just with a person you chose.
Good to knowFree matches arrive when you first join and refill through the Reward Center over the match screen. Coins cover extra matches and private calls. Nothing on CamDiv is billed without you choosing it.
Questions people ask
CamDiv video chat pairs your camera with one stranger’s camera at random. You see each other, talk as long as you both like, and either of you can tap next to move on.
Starting is free. A batch of free matches waits for every newcomer, refilled on the Reward Center timer. Coins come in only for matching beyond that or for private calls.
No sign-up is needed for a first video match. Signing in later lets you follow people, send messages and keep your balance on other devices.
Video chat needs both to send your picture and voice to your match. The browser asks first, and you can revoke access at any time in its settings.
Yes. iPhone and Android browsers both handle CamDiv, and pinning it to the home screen gives you a full-screen shortcut. Nothing needs installing.
The mode is chosen before each match. To talk by voice only, go back to the start screen, pick voice and press start for your next match.
The current call ends for both of you and CamDiv finds you a new stranger. The person you left does not see a reason, and you can keep pressing next as often as you like.
Use the report or block option inside the call. Reports go to the moderation team, and people who break the rules are removed from CamDiv.
If you are signed in and follow each other, you can message them and request a private one-to-one call from their profile.
Spoken audio is not translated. The translate button works on typed messages, so many people switch to text with matches who speak another language.
